President Barack Obama, after more than 100 days in office, is scheduled to make an historic trip to Egypt in June. The most important event on this visit will be the delivery of a speech intended for the Arab world. This will mark the first time an American president has journeyed to the Arab world for the purpose of speaking directly to the Arab and Muslim people. President Obama’s speech will undoubtedly be of worldwide significance.

A major goal of Barack Obama, U.S. president, in talking to the Arab and Muslim world will be to reduce negative stereotypes that exist regarding the United States. Obama has picked the largest and most important Arab country as his venue, despite criticism about the autocratic nature of the Egyptian regime. By speaking in Egypt, President Obama hopes that his speech will have the widest possible impact throughout the Arab world. A large audience is expected to hear the historic speech that will be forthcoming from President Barack Obama.
